Navigating the Recipe Posts
The recipe posts are written to provide helpful information, such as instructions with process photos, substitutions and variations, storage and make-ahead tips, etc. I always recommend reading the posts in full. The posts also have shortcuts to find relevant information easily.
Tips and Shortcuts
- Jump to Recipe – This button is directly under the first featured recipe photo and will take you right to recipe card.
- Nomad Note – A short personal note related to my lived experience with the featured ingredient, dessert, country, culture, etc.
- Clickable Table of Contents – Located under the Nomad Note, these linked headlines make it easy to navigate directly to the information you are looking for within each recipe post.
Recipe Card Features
- Recipe Action Buttons
- Print Recipe: Click to print the recipe
- Pin Recipe: Click to pin the recipe on your Pinterest account
- Save Recipe: Click to save the recipe to your bookmarks list
- Servings – You can adjust the number of servings and the ingredient amounts will change accordingly. Please keep in mind that you may also need to change the pan size you use but this will not be reflected in the recipe card.
- Measurements – Toggle between the Metric or US Customary button options and the measurements will change accordingly. For the most accuracy in baking recipes, I always recommend using metric measurements.
- Scale Recipe – Click on the 2x or 3x buttons to double or triple recipes. The ingredient amounts will change accordingly.
- Cook Mode – Toggle this button to prevent your screen from going dark while making a recipe.
